Caryn
I am so envious of your writing! It is so fucking good.
I was just driving to work and listening to the bootleg. The part from Restless Nights to Boom Boom is just off the charts.
When Bruce went into "Hang Up My Rock and Roll Shoes" I knew the song but couldn't pinpoint why or who did it. Someone told me the next day Beaver Brown used to do it. That's where I knew it!
I've heard it on Beaver Brown bootlegs. Someone said they think it's in the Eddie & The Cruisers movie.
Thanks for sharing you thoughts on the show. I always look forward to reading your story Caryn.

Mark: in a word, NO.

It wouldn't surprise me, though. He's like a shark right now.

Wow...you've had a mighty fine last 6-8 weeks or so, no?

What if they threw in a couple of Asbury Holiday shows to top it off?

Really nice. My own theory about why it was more celebratory than "ending" feeling - besides the fact that I think it ain't over! - is that this band already played its own wake one time, in Tampa. This is the afterlife. And apparently, we all got into heaven.

The BS R&B Revue would work for me! (And oh please oh please let them bring Cindy along. When she actually got to be useful, which wasn't every night, she just shone. I loved her contribution more & more as the tour went on, and when I finally got to hear her soar "Higher & Higher" - wow.)

Wow. I've found a boot of this and am going to listen this weekend. I read this and think THIS is the show I was supposed to see. Or maybe, I'm just meant to listen. And not see. Just leave it to the imagination like the old days-- on my radio.
