When Bruce went into "Hang Up My Rock and Roll Shoes" I knew the song but couldn't pinpoint why or who did it. Someone told me the next day Beaver Brown used to do it. That's where I knew it! I've heard it on Beaver Brown bootlegs. Someone said they think it's in the Eddie & The Cruisers movie. Thanks for sharing you thoughts on the show. I always look forward to reading your story Caryn. My own theory about why it was more celebratory than "ending" feeling - besides the fact that I think it ain't over! - is that this band already played its own wake one time, in Tampa. When she actually got to be useful, which wasn't every night, she just shone.
