double your fun

And I also have a photo up on brownstoner today.

I used to drive by this building (out in Bushwick) all the time last fall, and ached to photograph it. Once I got the digital SLR, I quite literally waited weeks for the light to be right so I could get the shot I wanted.

I love the detail on these buildings - you can see more of the shots on flickr here.

Juked

Today's [ Moment ] on j u k e d features one of my favorite Bushwick photographs - edited. (The original is here.)

At first I was a tad miffed at the edit, and think the original is stronger, but eventually decided the edit was strong enough to grant permission to use.

two in one day.

Probably some kind of record. (Or, more likely, that I actually got off my butt so I had some new work worth featuring.)

This photo didn't come out the way I wanted it to, but brownstoner's using it today.

this ain't the summer of love

While I'm still figuring out what this place is - or will be - because I'm a masochist and love a deadline, I joined b.markey's new project, This Ain't The Summer Of Love. Look for my debut post this weekend. (See? Deadline)

rock and roll reading

A quick email exchange with world-renown Bono haircut expert C. from the always-delightful Scatter o' Light resulted in this post.

I am very flattered. Muchas gracias, baby.
